The story is taken from an old myth common among Iran’s Azerbaijanis and Turkish people. An old vassal and his son work for a liege. One day the old man takes liege’s horses out and notices a weird black stallion gets out of the lake and goes to the mountain with one liege’s mare. A few months later the mare gives birth to two foals. One day the liege asks the old man to bring him two of his best horses to offer them to the king as present. When the old man chooses the two foals, the liege gets angry and has him blinded. The blind old man leaves there with his son and two foals and after finding a proper place, starts training his son to revenge.
